OB Beer announced on the 25th that it held a ‘Startup Demo Day’ for mutual growth with domestic startups and selected the green bio venture company ‘Rapique’ as the final outstanding company.
‘Startup Demo Day’ is a collaboration project by OB Beer to discover promising startups with innovative ideas and create opportunities for mutual growth. Three startups, which were finally selected in last year’s startup idea contest ‘2020 Seoul Startup Hub-OB Beer Startup Meet-Up,’ participated in this ‘Demo Day.’
The three startups, ‘Rapique,’ ‘Mysteryco,’ and ‘Marine Innovation,’ presented key innovative ideas such as a cosmetic raw material development solution using beer by-products, an AI social monitoring platform, and an eco-friendly packaging development solution made from beer by-products, respectively.
These companies presented the results of ‘PoC (Proof of Concept),’ including prototype disclosure and results after solution adoption, at this Startup Demo Day. PoC is a stage where ideas are developed into actual prototypes and introduced into business or the development process is completed. OB Beer conducted PoC with the three companies from January to July this year.
OB Beer comprehensively evaluated PoC performance and feasibility and selected the green bio venture company ‘Rapique,’ which proposed a cosmetic raw material development solution using beer by-products, as the winning company. OB Beer will award Rapique a prize of 20 million KRW and 10 million KRW in commercialization support funds and plans to prepare specific collaboration plans for full-scale commercialization.
