LH Strengthens Nationwide Communication Channels to Restore Public Trust

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 24th that it held the 5th ‘LH Innovation Committee’ at the LH Seoul Regional Headquarters and decided to promote measures to strengthen communication channels to restore public trust.
LH plans to increase the number of communication channels from the current 138 to 155 by establishing 17 new channels. In addition, it will actively pursue institutional improvements by identifying 42 implementation tasks, including ▲ enhancing the public nature and transparency of communication channels ▲ diversifying on-tact communication channels ▲ establishing a feedback system ▲ strengthening public services through institutional improvements ▲ and improving the effectiveness of customer satisfaction surveys.
To strengthen win-win cooperation with the construction industry, LH will formalize CEO-led win-win councils and meetings on topics such as construction culture innovation, support for private companies’ overseas expansion, and improvement of working conditions in the housing management field, thereby initiating CEO-centered on-site communication management.
LH will also establish a ‘Public Land Comprehensive Information Online Portal/Digital Twin Platform’ and transparently disclose the progress of the 3rd New Towns and housing supply plans to the entire public, increasing predictability for demanders preparing to purchase homes, thereby stabilizing the real estate market and enhancing policy credibility.
To improve public housing services, LH will expand My Home Centers to 12 regional small and medium-sized cities. It also plans to newly improve the jeonse rental service by expanding cooperation with private real estate brokerage platforms so that residents can conveniently receive jeonse rental housing at desired locations when needed.
To resolve inconveniences experienced by residents, LH will actively lead improvements in rental housing defect services. In cases where defects occur in rental housing, the entire process from defect reporting, visit schedule management, defect handling, to post-measures (satisfaction survey) will be guided in real-time using SNS, minimizing customer inconvenience caused by delays in defect handling.
LH will newly introduce a public trust survey targeting the general public, local governments, and stakeholders such as the construction industry, and actively reflect the results in overall management and business. It will also conduct its own customer satisfaction surveys by major business areas such as land and housing supply and residential welfare, and reorganize survey items and methods to actively identify and supplement areas needing improvement from the public’s perspective.
Furthermore, valuable opinions received through various communication channels will be linked with big data analysis systems to establish a preventive system for important and repetitive opinions, thereby strengthening the feedback system.
Through changes and innovations that the public can feel, LH will also activate proactive administration throughout management and business to promptly restore public trust. It plans to proactively discover and improve inconveniences caused by institutional constraints such as legal deficiencies and actively spread a culture of proactive administration that genuinely helps the public through awards for excellent cases of proactive administration. In particular, an ‘LH Proactive Administration Promotion Committee’ will be newly established for concrete implementation.
