Macron-Biden Call Agrees to Cooperate on Afghanistan Situation
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the situation in Afghanistan with U.S. President Joe Biden, the ?lys?e Palace announced on the 20th.
During a phone call with President Biden the previous afternoon, President Macron emphasized the need for swift and concrete cooperation to evacuate Afghans who have worked for their own citizens and allied countries in Afghanistan.
President Macron conveyed to President Biden that they have a moral responsibility to jointly address the situation for Afghans who share their values and require protection.
President Macron and President Biden agreed to strengthen cooperation on humanitarian, political, and counterterrorism efforts during the upcoming Group of Seven (G7) summit, which will be held virtually soon.
