Gyeongnam Province Reports 36 New COVID-19 Cases... Allowing Groups of 4 or More After 6 PM for Fully Vaccinated Individuals (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 20th at 1:30 PM that 36 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported.
By region, there are 18 cases in Changwon, 7 in Geoje, 4 in Tongyeong, 3 in Geochang, 2 in Haman, and 1 each in Miryang and Uiryeong.
Among the confirmed cases in Changwon, 10 tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 9197, 9198, 9206, 9207, 9220, 9221, 9227, 9228, 9230, and 9231.
Six were tested due to symptom onset and confirmed positive, classified as cases 9196, 9202 to 9205, and 9219.
The remaining two tested positive after contact with confirmed cases from other regions and were classified as cases 9208 and 9229.
Among the confirmed cases in Geoje, five are family members of confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 9199 to 9201, 9214, and 9215.
One tested positive before release from quarantine after contact with a confirmed case from another region and was classified as case 9216.
The other one voluntarily requested testing and was confirmed positive, classified as case 9217.
Among the confirmed cases in Tongyeong, three tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 9222 to 9224.
The remaining one is an acquaintance of a confirmed case from the metropolitan area and was classified as case 9225.
The three confirmed cases in Geochang tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 9210, 9211, and 9218.
The two confirmed cases in Haman and one in Uiryeong also tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 9212 and 9213.
The one confirmed case in Miryang is an overseas entrant and was classified as case 9209.
Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 9,228 (1,296 hospitalized, 7,909 discharged, 23 deceased).
Gyeongsangnam-do has decided to maintain the current Level 3 social distancing measures in all areas except Changwon and Gimhae for two weeks from the 23rd to September 5th.
Additionally, for Level 4 areas, quarantine rules have been revised to strengthen infection control in vulnerable facilities.
Restaurants and cafes are allowed to operate until 9 PM instead of 10 PM, and only takeout and delivery are permitted after 9 PM.
However, for those who have completed vaccination, private gatherings of up to four people are allowed at restaurants and cafes after 6 PM.
