Gwangju Seo-gu Nongsung 2-dong, Anonymous Donor's Donation Brings Warmth
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Nongseong 2-dong Happiness Center in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Director Heo Soon-seok) plans to deliver approximately 100,000 KRW in cash, quietly accumulated by an anonymous donor in the "Our Neighborhood Guardian Angel Mailbox," to neighbors in need on the 19th.
According to Nongseong 2-dong in Seo-gu on the 20th, the "Our Neighborhood Guardian Angel Mailbox" was installed for local residents who do not know how to help neighbors living in difficult circumstances nearby or find it difficult to cross the threshold of the Happiness Center.
The anonymous donor had been continuously placing cash into the mailbox for a long time without anyone knowing.
A member of a self-governing organization said, "We discovered the money hidden behind postcards in the mailbox only after a long time," and added, "We hope the message from the hidden guardian angel donor will bring warmth of love to the village."
Heo Soon-seok, director of Nongseong 2-dong, said, "Despite the difficult environment due to COVID-19, the sound of hope from neighbors practicing love and sharing through donations is making Nong-i Village warmer," and added, "We will continue to carefully support vulnerable groups and strive to reduce welfare blind spots."
