Planning to Discover New Future Visions and Strategic Projects with Residents... Presenting the '2030 Blueprint'
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County is drawing attention as it embarks on establishing a mid- to long-term future vision that proactively and preemptively responds to changes in government policy environments in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution era.
On the 17th, Jeollanam-do Hampyeong County announced that the 'Hampyeong Vision 2030 Mid- to Long-term Comprehensive Development Plan Establishment Research Project Kick-off Meeting' was held on the 12th at the county office's small conference room.
This project, commissioned by Hampyeong County to the Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute, focuses on setting Hampyeong County’s future vision and discovering strategic industries by sector, in connection with higher-level plans such as the '5th National Territorial Comprehensive Plan (2020?2040)' and the '4th Jeollanam-do Comprehensive Plan.'
In particular, it is being promoted with four goals: ▲ Hampyeong where citizens are happy through customized services by life cycle ▲ Hampyeong becoming wealthy by discovering future growth engine industries and attracting companies ▲ Prosperous Hampyeong through fostering convergence bio-industries ▲ Hampyeong embracing history and culture where past and future coexist.
At the kick-off meeting, County Governor Lee Sang-ik and heads of departments attended to review the basic concept of Hampyeong’s administration until 2030, development plans and roadmaps by region and sector, and exchanged diverse opinions with the research team on development measures by sector.
The research institute will proceed with the project step-by-step by conducting meetings with responsible departments, resident meetings, interim reports, expert advisory meetings, and final reports, starting with the kick-off meeting, to comprehensively examine the interconnectivity between Hampyeong County’s conditions and detailed tasks.
Through this, they plan to discover 20 strategic projects that comprehensively link core projects of sectoral development strategies, which will be used as a guideline for future county administration operations.
