SundayToz Reports 2Q Operating Profit of 2.6 Billion KRW, Up 6% YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] SundayToz announced on the 13th that it recorded consolidated sales of 24.6 billion KRW and operating profit of 2.6 billion KRW in the second quarter of this year. Sales decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year, while operating profit increased by 6%.
The first half performance recorded sales of 48 billion KRW and operating profit of 4.5 billion KRW.
SundayToz explained that the expansion of operating profit in the second quarter was due to the strong performance of the advertising business, which is considered a high-margin sales segment.
Advertising business sales reached 5.8 billion KRW, up 45% year-on-year and 17% quarter-on-quarter, achieving the highest quarterly sales ever, based on a stable game business in domestic and overseas markets.
Overseas sales also grew 22% quarter-on-quarter to 9 billion KRW, centered on steady sales from SundayToz’s "Disney Pop Town" and its subsidiary Playings’ "Slotmate".
