Hwasun-gun to Distribute 'Additional National Support Fund' on the 24th
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 11th that it will provide an additional "National Support Fund" of 100,000 KRW per person to 4,746 low-income individuals whose livelihoods have become difficult due to COVID-19.
The additional National Support Fund for low-income groups will be provided separately from the 5th Disaster Relief Fund (COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund).
The eligible recipients as of this month are ▲basic livelihood security recipients ▲legally designated second-lowest income bracket ▲single-parent families receiving child-rearing support, totaling 4,746 people.
The support fund of 100,000 KRW per person will be paid in a lump sum on the 24th according to the number of household members, and existing welfare benefit recipients will receive the payment into their existing welfare benefit accounts without a separate application process.
Recipients without account information (such as second-lowest income bracket not receiving welfare benefits) must visit the administrative welfare center in their township or town to apply, and after account verification, payments will be made sequentially next month.
A county official said, "We will do our best to expedite the disbursement to help stabilize the lives of low-income groups experiencing economic difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
