Orion Group Supports Medical Staff at Screening Clinics and Temporary Screening Centers with 'Orion Snack Boxes'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Orion Group announced on the 10th that it has supported a total of 100 million KRW worth of ‘Orion Snack Boxes’ to 806 COVID-19 screening clinics and temporary screening centers nationwide through the Orion Foundation.
This support was prepared to convey messages of gratitude and encouragement to the medical staff who are making every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infectious disease for the life and safety of the people. The snack boxes were specially made for this medical staff support and contained popular Orion products such as ‘Pocachip’, ‘Kkobukchip’, ‘Sun of the Sun Taste Sun’, ‘Oh! Guma’, and ‘Cham Bungeoppang’. The supplies will be sequentially delivered to 806 COVID-19 screening clinics and temporary screening centers nationwide under the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Orion is spreading a warm ‘Jeong (affection) culture’ by carrying out various social contribution activities at home and abroad to overcome COVID-19. Domestically, last year, it delivered relief supplies worth more than 320 million KRW, including ‘Dr. You Jeju Lava Water’, convenient meal replacement ‘Market O Nature Oh! Granola’, and masks to major areas in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, the metropolitan area, and nationwide COVID-19 screening clinics. This year, it is also conducting ‘Jeong Sharing Activities’ to comfort children who may be exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation by sending snack gift sets and items personally made by employees to local children’s centers.
In China, the corporation donated a total of 2,000 boxes of Choco Pie, Cutie Pie, and others as emergency relief supplies to the Wuhan area of Hubei Province early last year, and this year also donated Choco Pie to the Shenyang area. Through the Vietnam corporation, in addition to delivering specially made Choco Pie and ‘Orion Jeju Lava Water’ to local medical staff and soldiers last year as a symbol of health and respect, it supported 100 million KRW for a COVID-19 vaccine fund for vulnerable groups in July this year.
