Ministry of Science and ICT Accepts Applications from 10th to 23rd for Research Personnel Dispatch Labor Cost Support
Up to 3 Years and 300 Million KRW per Person Annually

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The government will directly dispatch high-level personnel from public research institutes to assist research and development in companies related to materials, parts, and equipment industries to enhance their technological capabilities.
The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 9th that it will newly launch the "Public Research Personnel Dispatch Support Project for Materials, Parts, and Equipment Companies" this year to resolve technical difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies in the materials, parts, and equipment sector and to support the development and securing of next-generation core technologies.
Excellent researchers belonging to the Convergence Innovation Support Group, composed of 25 government-funded science and technology research institutions, will reside at companies and jointly carry out research and development tasks (up to 3 years per researcher, 300 million KRW per year). Through full-time and long-term dispatch, they will assist in performing R&D projects to alleviate difficulties faced by materials, parts, and equipment companies and contribute to the development of next-generation core technologies and the strengthening of mid- to long-term technological competitiveness.
The National Research Council of Science & Technology has organized a dedicated support team, with a budget of 4.5 billion KRW for this year. Applications will be accepted from the 10th to the 23rd, and after evaluation by the dedicated support team, support is scheduled to begin in September.
