Gwangju Bank Signs ESG Inclusive Finance Support MOU with Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Gwangju Regional Headquarters
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) signed an ESG inclusive finance support business agreement on the 6th at its headquarters for the workers of the branches under the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions.
According to this business agreement, Gwangju Bank plans to provide financial education such as financial and asset consulting and individual funding support of up to 30 million KRW for workers of the branches under the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions.
Financial education providing financial solutions such as asset consulting for economic life stability and economic independence will also be conducted, and for customers using high-interest loans such as secondary financial institutions and loan businesses, a program to actively implement refinancing of high-interest loans through CMS (Credit Management Service) to help improve credit scores will be carried out.
By providing various financial supports to all workers of the branches under the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions, Gwangju Bank aims to realize the core values of its ESG management policy, and it is expected that practical help will be delivered to local workers who are experiencing difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, said, "We will actively take the lead in helping local workers who are facing economic downturn and difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 by providing financial asset consulting, credit score improvement, and timely financial support."
