Recruiting 50 Volunteers as 'Seoul Fortress Guardians' to Preserve and Manage Hanyangdoseong, Tangchundaeseong, and Bukhansanseong
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 4th that it will publicly recruit volunteers to participate in the preservation and management activities of the Seoul City Wall, Tangchundaeseong, and Bukhansanseong.
The number of recruits is around 50, and the recruitment period is from the 5th to the 26th. Anyone aged 19 or older who is interested in and experienced in related fields and can work in Seoul can apply. Seoul plans to expand the scope of activities by improving and implementing the previously operated 'Citizen Sunseonggwan' as 'Seoul City Wall Guardians.'
The main duties of the Seoul City Wall Guardians being publicly recruited this time include environmental cleanup, promotion, and visitor guidance activities related to the Seoul City Wall, and if necessary, the scope will be adjusted and carried out by the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Hanyangdoseongdogam.

An Jung-ho, head of the Hanyangdoseongdogam, said, “The Seoul City Wall Guardians, scheduled to be active from January 2022 to December 2023, provide a great opportunity to voluntarily participate in the preservation of Seoul’s cultural heritage, fostering pride and responsibility. We ask for the active participation of interested citizens.”
