Korea Exchange Launches Open Recruitment for 43 New Employees
Document Submission Deadline by 6 PM on the 18th
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Korea Exchange announced on the 3rd that it has begun the schedule for open recruitment of new employees.
Considering the increased demand for personnel due to business expansion and the expansion of youth jobs, the Exchange plans to hire 43 new employees. This is a 19% increase compared to the previous year.
The application period is from today until 6 p.m. on the 18th. After the written exam (September 11) and the first and second interviews (in October), the final successful candidates will be announced in November.
The recruitment will be conducted in four sectors: Business & Economics, Law, Mathematics & Statistics, and IT, with no restrictions on academic background or major. The number of recruits by sector is 24 for Business & Economics, 6 for Law, 7 for Mathematics & Statistics, and 6 for IT.
The written exam allows applicants to choose from six subjects: Business Administration, Economics, Law, Mathematics, Statistics, and IT. For the convenience of applicants, the written exam will be held in both Seoul and Busan.
This year’s recruitment will strengthen the hiring of excellent talent based on ability through a blind recruitment process and will also promote the selection of regional talent. If the number of regional talent passing each stage falls short of the target ratio of 25%, additional candidates will be accepted to fill the shortfall. If the final interview passers also fall short of 25% regional talent, a certain proportion of regional talent will be additionally accepted.
An Exchange official said, “To prevent COVID-19, we will thoroughly disinfect the test sites, require mask-wearing, check for fever, and deploy quarantine experts to ensure safety at the test sites,” adding, “The recruitment schedule may be partially changed depending on the government’s future COVID-19 response policies.”
