Seocho-gu Supports Disinfection for Small-Scale Restaurants
Support of February's disinfectant for 1,800 small general restaurants with sales area under 100㎡... Easing economic burden of disinfection for small business owners struggling due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) is supporting disinfectant sterilizers to 1,800 small-scale general restaurants in the area to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection and create a clean dining environment.
The support targets approximately 1,800 general restaurants operating within Seocho-gu with an area of 100㎡ or less. These businesses receive eight 500ml spray-type disinfectant sterilizers, enough to use for about two months.
This support project aims to alleviate the economic burden of disinfection for small business owners due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the extension of the 4th stage social distancing in the metropolitan area.
Additionally, the district urged small general restaurants receiving disinfectants to strictly comply with quarantine rules such as visitor testing.
Moreover, the district is making efforts to reduce the economic burden on small restaurants struggling due to COVID-19. It continuously supports quarantine supplies such as hand sanitizers, dental masks, and disinfectants, including the cost of installing table partitions in restaurants.
In particular, food waste is collected free of charge until the end of this year.

Mayor Eunhee Jo stated, “I thank the business owners and residents who actively participated in complying with quarantine rules despite the difficult situation,” and added, “In a situation where disinfection must be done at least once a day according to the 4th stage quarantine rules, I hope this support will help self-employed people and contribute to creating a hygienic dining culture.”
