Jindo-gun Launches Tourist Cruise Ship... Enjoy the Scenic Beauty of Dadohae
[Jindo＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] A sightseeing cruise ship that tours the beautiful archipelago scenery of Jindo-gun, the treasure island, has officially started operation.
According to Jindo-gun, Jindo Tourism Cruise Co., Ltd. held a launch ceremony for the cruise ship at 10:30 a.m. on the 30th at Shwimi Port in Jindo-eup and began operation.
The Island Jay is a 35-ton cruise ship with a maximum capacity of 75 passengers, expected to open a new chapter in maritime tourism in Jindo-gun.
Departing from Shwimi Port, it sails to Gwangdaedo, Hyeoldo, Yangdeokdo, Jujido, and other islands, taking about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Passengers can fully enjoy Sebang Sunset, known as Korea's number one sunset, and admire the beautiful scenery of the archipelago right before their eyes.
The cruise operates five times daily, with fares of 20,000 KRW for adults and 15,000 KRW for children under 13. Discounts are available for groups and Jindo residents.

An official from the Jindo-gun Job Investment Division said, “We hope this cruise launch will serve as a catalyst for revitalizing maritime tourism in Jindo-gun,” and added, “We hope many tourists will visit Jindo-gun, creating synergy with various tourism products of the region.”
