She scored 38 points up to the 50 rapid-fire shots, sharing the lead, but lost 4-1 in the shoot-off to Russia's Vitalina Batsarashkina. In the pistol final, a shot scoring 10.2 points or higher earns 1 point, while a shot below 10.2 points earns 0 points.
Kim Min-jeong showed excellent form from the start and approached the medal zone. She scored the highest 14 points up to the fifteenth shot, leading second-place Batsarashkina by 4 points.
