[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Samsung Electronics' new concept cooker, the 'Bespoke Cooker,' has attracted nearly 500,000 viewers in a real-time online shopping broadcast, signaling a successful launch.
According to Samsung Electronics on the 30th, the cumulative number of viewers for the 'HanQ Show' held on Naver Shopping Live on the 28th to commemorate the launch of the Bespoke Cooker was tentatively counted at 480,000. This is the highest cumulative viewership recorded among home appliance broadcasts conducted by Samsung Electronics on live commerce platforms such as Naver and Samsung.com.
This is the first time Samsung Electronics has launched a new product through a live commerce platform. Before the broadcast started, the cumulative number of connections exceeded 100,000, with comments such as "Looking forward to it" and "Curious." After the broadcast began, positive reviews about the Bespoke design continued. According to Samsung Electronics, viewers were mainly in their 30s and 40s by age group, and males accounted for 25% of the total audience.
Samsung Electronics explained that the 'Multi-Cook' function, which allows four dishes to be cooked simultaneously, and the '4-in-1' function, which combines the roles of grill, air fryer, microwave, and toaster in one product, received great responses for enabling spacious use of kitchen space.
Interest was also high in the 'My Cooker Plan,' a subscription purchase service first introduced through collaboration with eight leading domestic food companies and Samsung Card. More than 90% of consumers who purchased the product that day were registered subscribers of the My Cooker Plan.
