View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Son Seon-hee] The Ministry of Environment has appointed Shin Chang-hyun, former member of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party of Korea (age 68), as the president of the 9th Sudogwon Landfill Site Management Corporation. President Shin will begin his term on the 30th.
President Shin graduated from Sokcho High School and Korea University with a degree in Public Administration. He has served as mayor of Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, environmental secretary at the Blue House, chairman of the Central Environmental Dispute Mediation Committee, and as a member of the 20th National Assembly representing Uiwang and Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province.
