Lotte Card, First in Industry to Obtain International Standard Certification for 'Compliance Management System'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Lotte Card announced on the 22nd that it has become the first in the industry to officially obtain certification for the Compliance Management System (ISO 37301) and held a certification awarding ceremony.
The awarding ceremony, held yesterday at Lotte Card headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, was attended by Hwang Eun-joo, President of the Korea Management Certification Institute, and Cho Jwa-jin, CEO of Lotte Card.
The Compliance Management System (ISO 37301) is an international standard on compliance management systems newly established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in April. This standard specifies requirements and provides guidelines for establishing, developing, implementing, evaluating, maintaining, and improving an effective compliance management system within an organization.
Previously, Lotte Card expressed its commitment to compliance and transparent management by obtaining the Compliance Management System (ISO 19600) certification for the first time in Korea in 2016, followed by the Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) certification in 2017. This year, in addition to being the first to obtain the Compliance Management System (ISO 37301) certification, it also renewed the Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) certification through a follow-up audit.

A Lotte Card official stated, "The significance of obtaining this certification lies in applying a global-level compliance management system across all management activities, verifying our ability to recognize, prevent, and manage compliance monitoring risks that may arise during work." He added, "We will continuously strive to uphold corporate ethics and fulfill social responsibilities through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and compliance management."
