"Jiniya, Bring Me a Free Sample of Siyenu" KT Hosts Contactless Shopping Event at AI Hotel
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 22nd that it will provide a collaborative marketing event for “smart contactless shopping” using KT’s artificial intelligence (AI) hotel service targeting staycation customers, in partnership with The Escape Hotel and Amorepacific.
The event targets customers staying in five types of suite rooms, including The Escape Hotel’s “Atelier Suite,” for one month from July 27 to August 27. Customers simply need to say to the GiGA Genie device in their room, “Genie, bring me a free sample of SIENU.”
Customers participating in the event using the GiGA Genie in their rooms will receive a free set of six SIENU amenities from Amorepacific, valued at approximately 156,000 KRW, on a first-come, first-served basis. “SIENU” is Amorepacific’s new luxury anti-aging brand.
Additionally, KT is launching a new feature that allows customers to purchase items using GiGA Genie to celebrate the third anniversary of the AI hotel service. Through this, customers can buy paid items such as goods and amenities sold separately by the hotel via GiGA Genie without visiting the front desk or making a phone call.
KT planned this feature to evolve the AI hotel’s room service into a smarter contactless service. The goal is to provide a “Shop-in-Room” service that enables guests to comfortably browse and purchase shopping items using GiGA Genie while staying in their rooms.
All guests staying at The Escape Hotel during the “smart contactless shopping” event period can purchase Amorepacific’s “SIENU Timebrace Basic 2-piece Set,” specially loaded as a special item on GiGA Genie, at a 30% discount from the regular price.
Starting today, KT will also hold an event on the official GiGA Genie Instagram. Followers of the official GiGA Genie Instagram account can participate in a quiz event, with a chance to win accommodation vouchers for The Escape Hotel and Amorepacific’s “SIENU Timebrace Basic 2-piece Set” through a draw.
Meanwhile, KT is focusing on AI hotels based on services using GiGA Genie and hotel robots. KT plans to develop hotel DX solutions and platforms that can provide various services beyond the existing voice recognition-based room control, service requests, and Genie Music content offered by AI hotels.
