Imsil-gun to Conduct 'Dementia Prevention Education' Until Next Month
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk (Governor Shim Min) announced on the 21st that it will conduct the ‘Senior Center Dementia Prevention Education’ program as a visiting dementia shelter program at the Dementia Safety Center until next month to prevent dementia among the elderly.
This education program will be operated once a week at 15 locations until next month, strictly adhering to COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
The Senior Center Dementia Prevention Education program targets elderly people aged 65 and over who use senior centers, providing recreation, craft experiences, and dementia prevention exercises to help improve daily living skills, manage dementia prevention, and increase self-expression abilities.
A county official said, “Considering the reality that elderly people are interested in dementia education but have difficulty participating in diagnosis or education due to mobility issues, we decided to operate dementia prevention education by visiting senior centers directly.”
