Implementation of Joint Brand Usage Application Reception in Sancheong-gun
Agricultural Specialties 'San-en Cheong' and Herbal Medicine at 'Donguibogam Village'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, is accepting applications for the use of the Sancheong-gun joint brand to improve the quality and image of agricultural specialties and processed products produced in the region.
The county announced on the 20th that it will accept applications for the use of the joint brand for the second half of the year through each eup and myeon until August 6.
The joint brands available for application are ‘San-en Cheong’ and ‘Donguibogamchon.’ The ‘San-en Cheong’ joint brand can be used for general agricultural specialties and processed products, while the ‘Donguibogamchon’ brand can be used for medicinal herbs and herbal processed products.
Applicants must be corporations, member cooperatives, farming groups, or registered businesses that have an address and production facilities in Sancheong-gun and actually produce the target items.
Individual producers can apply if they receive quality certification from the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service or similar organizations.
The county will decide whether to approve the use after preliminary screening and review by the joint brand management committee through the responsible department based on the submitted application forms and supporting documents.
If approved for the use of the ‘San-en Cheong’ joint brand, applicants will receive support for joint brand packaging boxes (for priority cultivation items) and additional points when entering the San-en Cheong shopping mall.
A county official said, “The ‘San-en Cheong’ brand has been recognized for its value and reputation by winning the Korea Prestige Brand Award for three consecutive years since 2017,” and added, “We hope for active participation from producers.”
