[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Dong-guk] A 50-year-old active police officer who received mixed COVID-19 vaccinations died three days after the vaccination.
According to Chilgok Police Station in Gyeongbuk on the 20th, around 2 a.m. that day, Lieutenant A (52), belonging to the Indong Police Substation of Gumi Police Station, was found unconscious in the living room of his apartment in Buksam-eup, Chilgok, by his family. Lieutenant A was immediately transported to Soonchunhyang Hospital but ultimately passed away at 3:18 a.m.
He had received the AstraZeneca vaccine as the first dose on April 28 and the Pfizer vaccine as the second dose on the 17th, after which he reportedly experienced adverse reactions such as headache and chills.
Lieutenant A was said to have lived a healthy life. His surviving family includes his wife and two middle school-aged children.
