E-Land Group Injects Young Blood in Their 30s into Affiliate CEOs

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] E-Land Group announced on the 19th that it has appointed Ahn Young-hoon (40) as CEO of E-Land Retail and Hwang Sung-yoon (39) as CEO of E-Land Eats.
Ahn Young-hoon, CEO of E-Land Retail, joined the company in 2007 and has led E-Land's overseas businesses in China, Europe, and other regions. He grew the sales of the women's clothing brand 'E-Land' in China to around 400 billion KRW annually and was appointed as the group's Chief Human Resources Officer (CHO) earlier this year.
Hwang Sung-yoon, CEO of E-Land Eats, who joined in 2008, served as the head of the Ashley brand. Despite the COVID-19 situation, he was recognized for driving growth in the food service sector by leading initiatives such as home meal replacement (HMR), delivery services, and upgrading Ashley Queens.
Previously, in 2019, E-Land Group appointed Choi Woon-sik (41 at the time) as CEO of E-Land World and Yoon Sung-dae (39 at the time) as CEO of E-Land Park. Following this, the group also selected executives in their late 30s to early 40s as heads of subsidiaries in the distribution and food service sectors.

An E-Land Group official explained, "This appointment aims to place young executives who understand and can communicate with the MZ generation, the group's key customers, at the forefront to accelerate preparations for 40 years of future innovation."
