According to HanmiGlobal on the day, amid the increasing demand for cloud services in the Asian market recently, political instability in Hong Kong since last year has led Seoul and Tokyo to emerge as new hubs for data centers. Consequently, overseas data center developers, operators, and REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) companies are entering the domestic market one after another.
HanmiGlobal and Korea HPE foresee that foreign companies establishing data centers in the domestic market will require capable partners to comprehensively manage stable construction phases and system implementation. Therefore, they agreed to conduct mutual cooperation, including business exchanges and joint marketing throughout the entire project.
HanmiGlobal plans to provide a one-stop service (Total Solution Provider) covering the entire project process from the planning stage of data center construction, feasibility review, securing business sites, selecting designers and contractors, permit management, to project schedule management. Korea HPE will offer specialized data center technical expertise based on HPE Pointnext services, including IT-considered center strategy establishment, conceptual design consulting, detailed design advisory, supervision of facility construction directly related to server rooms such as UPS and precision air conditioning, and commissioning.
At the signing ceremony, Lee Sang-ho, CEO of HanmiGlobal, said, “We are truly pleased to collaborate with Korea HPE, which possesses the highest technical capabilities in cloud infrastructure construction. Through HanmiGlobal’s construction management know-how, we will contribute to the mutual growth of both companies and do our best to help clients generate successful profits.”
