TAG Heuer to Unveil Smartwatch Featuring Nintendo and Super Mario
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer is unveiling a 'Super Mario' smartwatch in collaboration with Japanese game company Nintendo.
On the 13th (local time), TechCrunch and others reported that TAG Heuer is partnering with Nintendo to produce the Connected Super Mario Edition smartwatch.
The newly released TAG Heuer Connected Super Mario Edition is a limited edition of 2,000 units worldwide, priced between $1,800 and $2,150. It will be available at select boutique stores and websites starting from the 15th.
The Super Mario Edition features a 45mm case made of titanium with a height of 13.5mm. The dial is engraved with Mario's 'M', and the bezel includes familiar icons from the original game such as mushrooms and stars. The strap comes in red rubber and black leather versions. Equipped with a 430mAh battery, it can be used for 6 to 20 hours depending on usage, and supports water resistance up to 5 ATM.

The interface is also praised for its similarity to the game. As users progress toward fitness goals, various animations are included, from Mario tipping his hat to climbing the victory pole. Running on Wear OS, it features Google Assistant along with other Google products such as Google Pay, Calendar, Translate, and Music.
