The city announced on the 13th that from midnight on the 15th until the 28th, it will maintain the current Level 1 quarantine measures but apply an "enhanced Level 1 social distancing" that limits private gatherings to 4 people.
However, immediate family gatherings will not be subject to the headcount restriction during the enhanced Level 1 distancing period.
This measure was decided based on voluntary citizen participation, considering the difficulties faced by small business owners. In Sejong, the average daily number of new confirmed cases over the past week was 3.85.
This number is below the threshold for raising to Level 2 distancing.
However, the city explained that the enhanced Level 1 distancing was implemented after comprehensively considering factors such as the nationwide daily confirmed cases exceeding 1,000, the adjustment of distancing levels to Level 4 in the metropolitan area and Level 2 in the Chungcheong region, and concerns about an increase in cases around the summer vacation season.
