Dongdaemun-gu Provides Up to 300,000 KRW Support for Adopting Abandoned Animals
Support for Adoption Fees Including Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Costs to Promote Pet Adoption Culture
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) is supporting up to 300,000 KRW adoption fees for residents who adopt abandoned animals from the Dongdaemun-gu Animal Protection Center (Korea Animal Rescue Management Association, Yangju, Gyeonggi-do) to promote the culture of pet adoption.
Residents of Dongdaemun-gu who adopt abandoned animals for companionship purposes after July 1 of this year can receive support for items such as ▲disease diagnosis fees ▲treatment fees ▲vaccinations ▲neutering surgery fees ▲implantable animal registration fees ▲grooming fees.
Eligible residents must obtain an adoption confirmation certificate from the Dongdaemun-gu Animal Protection Center and receive treatment for each item at one of the three designated animal hospitals within Dongdaemun-gu. They only need to pay costs exceeding 300,000 KRW.
