View original image[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, expressed his gratitude as the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate primary electorate surpassed 500,000 within five days of recruitment.
On the 10th, Lee posted on Facebook titled "500,000 in 5 days! We will repay with policy competition and One Team spirit," stating, "Our party (Democratic Party of Korea) presidential candidate primary electorate exceeded 500,000 in just five days of recruitment."
He continued, "I vow to revive the opportunity given again by the people," and urged, "Candidates running in the Democratic Party presidential primary must create a 'people's livelihood policy primary' with Democratic Party-style policies and fair competition."
He also promised, "Starting with myself, I will convey hope through policies and visions that create 'fair growth, a strong government, and a new Republic of Korea.'"
Lee emphasized the Democratic Party's One Team spirit.
He said, "Unity and solidarity before the cause is the tradition of the Democratic Party," adding, "Although we are fiercely competing now, we are comrades who will ultimately become one, and we will not let go of the firmly held hands of trust and will stay together until the end."
