Wavve Opens Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival Online Theater Starting Today
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] Online video service (OTT) Wavve is opening the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) online screening room.
According to Content Wavve, which operates Wavve, the 25th BIFAN online screening room will be held on Wavve for 10 days from 10 a.m. on the 9th until midnight on the 18th. From the 16th, when the festival's theater screenings end, the films will be available exclusively on Wavve.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Wavve has supported online screenings of major film festivals to help the struggling film industry. This year, it is operating online screening rooms in collaboration with the Jeonju Film Festival and BIFAN consecutively.
Wavve has launched a dedicated page for BIFAN's online screening room, screening a total of 154 films (61 feature films and 93 short films), which accounts for about 60% of the entire festival lineup.
In the Bucheon Choice section, viewers can watch six feature films including Lee Haven Jones’ film debut "She Was Not Invited to the Dinner," who directed "Doctor Who," as well as short films totaling 12 titles such as "Evil Pleasure" and "King Car."
Additionally, among the eight films in the Korean Fantastic: Competition section, four films including "Deal Completed," starring Jeon Seok-ho, known for the "Kingdom" series and "Misaeng," as well as "Sillim Men and Women," "Ghost Image," and "Trans," are available on Wavve.
Moreover, major works from the festival included in eight sections can be found.

BIFAN online screenings can be viewed on the Wavve website or application. Ticket prices are 5,000 KRW for feature films and 1,000 KRW for short films, and once purchased, viewers can watch unlimitedly within 24 hours.
