[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 9th that it is recruiting small and medium venture companies to participate in the '2021 Global Business Sourcing Fair (GBSF 2021)'.
GBSF 2021 will be held over two days on the 18th and 19th of next month at SETEC in Gangnam, Seoul. GBSF 2021, held for the first time in two years since COVID-19, is a representative overseas buyer matching exhibition and consultation event for small and medium venture companies, which started in 2015 and is now in its 6th edition. At the 5th event in 2019, 1,001 companies participated, conducting export consultations with 203 overseas buyers from 40 countries, resulting in export contracts worth 18.4 million USD.
The main events include ▲ one-on-one export consultation meetings with overseas buyers ▲ themed exhibition halls (online exhibition hall, untact tech hall, etc.) ▲ excellent product showrooms ▲ influencer invitation demonstration events and live commerce sales broadcasts targeting China and New Southern countries. Additionally, various side events such as product planner (MD) evaluations for entry into overseas home shopping and a global business forum featuring e-commerce experts will be held.
SBC selected 150 influential and promising overseas buyers from 36 countries based on their purchase intentions, purchase history, and company credit ratings, focusing on buyers highly interested in domestic companies' products. Among them, 20 companies will be directly invited to the event site for export consultations. Companies wishing to participate in the export consultation can select up to 30 desired buyers based on buyer and purchase item information. Once selected as participating companies, they will conduct direct consultations on-site or local connected video consultations with buyers through mutual matching during the event period.
