View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Kolon Glotech’s senior researcher Jo Hang-jin received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in the nano industry technology category at ‘Nano Korea 2021’ for his research on the antiviral fiber material Q Plus (Q+), the company announced on the 8th. Nano Korea is the largest nano technology international symposium and convergence exhibition in Korea, awarding companies that achieve innovative research results or exhibit products with significant industrial impact. Researcher Jo was recognized for his achievement in applying copper sulfide, an inorganic antimicrobial agent harmless to the human body, to fibers, blocking 99.99% of various bacteria, mold, and viruses. He developed a functional resin optimized for filters using Q Plus technology, which allows size control at the nano scale.
