Korea Macquarie Conducts Youth Leader Program with Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Macquarie Korea announced on the 6th that it held the launch ceremony of the ‘Macquarie Korea Youth Leader Program’ in collaboration with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and awarded scholarships to 10 university students.
The ‘Macquarie Korea Youth Leader Program’ is being held for the first time this year and plans to provide scholarships, mentoring programs, and career development programs to 10 university students.
Macquarie Korea and the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation received applications for the program in May from first- and second-year university students from underprivileged backgrounds, and selected 10 students after interviews where the students presented their aspirations and future dreams. The event was attended both online and offline by Yonghwan Kim, CEO of Macquarie Korea, Woonjung Choi, Head of the Seoul Region 2 Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, and the 10 university students.
On the day, Yonghwan Kim, CEO of Macquarie Korea, said, “We prepared this program to support the dreams of young people who are facing the greatest difficulties in this era and to help them grow into youth leaders who work for society.” Woonjung Choi, Head of the Seoul Region 2 Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, also stated, “We hope that through the Macquarie Korea Youth Leader Program, students will receive not only financial support but also assistance in designing their futures through various programs such as mentoring.”
