Kyungbok University and Korea Industrial Health Research Institute Sign 'Employment-Guaranteed Industry-Academic Cooperation'
[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University is promoting cooperative projects in various fields including employment with the Korea Industrial Health Research Institute.
Kyungbok University announced on the 6th that it signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement guaranteeing employment with the Korea Industrial Health Research Institute at its Namyangju campus on the 5th.
According to the agreement between the two institutions, they will closely cooperate in ▲technical consulting, management consulting and in-service training, corporate promotion cooperation ▲providing on-site training places for enrolled students ▲offering priority hiring opportunities when new employees meet the basic requirements requested by the institute ▲supporting stable adaptation of employed individuals to companies through post-hiring management and guidance.
The Korea Industrial Health Research Institute, founded in 2006, is an organization that performs industrial health tasks to protect workers' health and lives, including measuring and supporting improvement of workplace environments, performing entrusted health management tasks, conducting precise chemical substance analysis, evaluating industrial ventilation performance, investigating musculoskeletal harmful factors, asbestos analysis and investigation, and consulting on hazardous chemical substance licensing and approval.
Kim Kyung-bok, Acting President of Kyungbok University, said, "We are pleased to sign an industry-academia cooperation agreement with the Korea Industrial Health Research Institute, which has various work areas and know-how," adding, "We will actively support creating job opportunities for students entering the industrial health field through win-win cooperation with Kyungbok University's Department of Clinical Pathology as well as generating synergy in research fields."
Yang Hong-seok, CEO of the Korea Industrial Health Research Institute, responded, "Kyungbok University's motto of Creation, Autonomy, and Service is an important spirit that also aligns with our institute's management," and added, "This agreement is expected to become a model of industry-academia cooperation that prioritizes character over mere knowledge based on the Kyungbok spirit, creating a warm society and providing an opportunity to nurture excellent talent."
