[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, will return 52% of the business promotion expenses to encourage the efforts of workers involved in quarantine and prevention related to the COVID-19 emergency duty.
Mayor Kim will distribute business promotion expenses to share warm feelings with employees who have been working under a 24-hour emergency duty system for 1 year and 7 months due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
Previously, Mayor Kim had shared 30% of his salary and 50% of business promotion expenses for 4 months last year.
Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, said, “I returned the business promotion expenses to share the difficulties of workers who have been on COVID-19 emergency duty for a long time and to boost morale. I hope this can also provide some support to the depressed local commercial district.”
