The Gyeonggi-do Children's Museum, established in 2011, is the first and largest children-only experiential learning museum in Korea. It is known as a popular destination visited by 600,000 visitors annually.
This donation event was organized to supplement the existing quarantine system with spatial disinfection, anticipating freer activities in the second half of the year following changes in government quarantine guidelines, so that children can safely view exhibitions and participate in activities.
‘Doctor Rain’ has proven a 99.9% removal effect against various respiratory viruses including COVID-19, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, E. coli, Salmonella, and other harmful bacteria. It was previously registered as a sterilizer with the U.S. FDA, confirming its performance.
It also passed safety tests for inhalation toxicity, oral toxicity, eye irritation, and skin irritation. Additionally, Gidae C&C explained that it has been certified for non-detection of carcinogens and humidifier disinfectant components.
In particular, sterilization activation methods against bacteria and viruses have been patented in both Korea and the United States. It is also listed as a product for air disinfection and indoor space use in the Ministry of Environment’s Green Nuri, proving its safety and sterilization power.
It has also demonstrated deodorizing effects of 93.8% for formaldehyde, identified as a cause of sick building syndrome, and 99.8% for ammonia, and is currently being used at the Nanji and Gimpo landfills.
Gidae C&C stated that ‘Doctor Rain,’ which holds the most efficacy and safety test reports domestically, is being mainly installed as an unmanned automatic spatial disinfection system essential for the post-COVID-19 era in local government offices, hospitals, elementary, middle, and high schools, kindergartens, hotels, and more.
