Yeonggwang-gun Recruiting Participants for 'Youth Employment Activity Allowance' Until the 14th
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters reporter Lee Jeonseong]=Jeonnam Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting participants for the ‘Youth Employment Activity Allowance Support Project’ until the 14th to support job-seeking activities and living stability of unemployed youth.
This project is funded 100% by the county to alleviate the economic burden of unemployed youth by providing up to 3 million KRW over a maximum of 5 months, with 600,000 KRW per month for expenses incurred during job-seeking activities such as education fees, book purchase fees, interview fees, and transportation costs.
Part of the support fund will be paid through the Yeonggwang Sarang Card to help revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The eligibility criteria are unemployed youth aged 18 to 45 residing in the county, whose household income is between 50% and less than 150% of the median income, and who have graduated, completed, or dropped out of their final education.
However, recipients of livelihood benefits and unemployment benefits, participants in similar government and Jeonnam Province projects such as the Employment Success Package, and workers employed for 36 hours or more per week are excluded.
Youth wishing to participate can apply at their local eup/myeon office with the participation application form, job-seeking activity plan, and other required documents.

A county official said, “We plan to continue implementing various policies to enhance youth vitality. We hope this will provide some help and comfort to youth who are eager to find employment but face a narrow job market due to the rigid employment situation caused by COVID-19.”
