Healing agriculture is an industry that utilizes various agricultural and rural resources to restore, maintain, and improve the health of the public, thereby creating social and economic added value.
The Expansion Center will be built on a site of 16,769㎡ in the Bonsan-ri area of Jinyeong-eup, with a total project cost of 29.9 billion KRW invested by 2024.
It will be used as a complex cultural facility featuring exhibition and experience facilities such as an ecological agriculture hall, healing garden, ecological experience hall, and activity practice rooms, as well as operating a healing agriculture certification system, startup support, and agricultural education programs.
The city plans to develop the Expansion Center as the core of a nationwide unique healing agriculture special zone by linking it with an eco-friendly agricultural complex, ecological cultural park, the citizen cultural experience exhibition hall opening in 2022, the rural theme park scheduled for completion in 2023, Hwapocheon Wetland Conservation Management Center, and the biomedical medical device small-scale special zone, combining agricultural, ecological, educational, and biomedical resources.
