Orion Launches 'Honey Butter Oh! Guma,' Sister Product to 'Oh! Gamja'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Orion announced on the 1st that it has launched a sweet potato snack, 'Kkul Butter O! Guma,' as a sister product to its flagship long-selling product 'O! Gamja.'
'O! Guma' is a newly introduced product differentiated by its ingredients, delivering not only taste but also texture and sound deliciously. 'O! Guma' combines two main ingredients: sweet potato as the primary ingredient and potato to provide a crispy texture, creating a distinctive texture and flavor. The snack's surface is coated with a syrup made from butter, honey, and roasted sweet potato, maximizing sweetness and texture.
Orion recently launched 'O! Guma' inspired by the fact that 'Honey Butter Sweet Potato' has become a popular sweet potato dish favored by younger generations.
'O! Gamja' is a stick-shaped potato snack with a hole in the center, which has maintained steady popularity since its release in 1999 due to its crispy yet melt-in-the-mouth texture. It has established itself as a globally popular snack by offering various flavors tailored to local tastes, such as Mala Shrimp, Tomato, and Steak flavors, in overseas markets including China and Vietnam.
