Jeju Coast Guard Holds 2021 First Half Retirement Ceremony Event
Supporting the New Beginning of Retired and Honorably Retired Public Officials
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] = Jeju Maritime Police Agency announced on the morning of the 30th that it held a retirement ceremony for maritime police officers who retired due to age and honorary retirement in the first half of 2021.
According to the Jeju Maritime Police Agency, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on that day, a retirement ceremony was held on the 4th floor auditorium of the Jeju Maritime Police Station with family members and fellow officers gathered, honoring four maritime police officers: three age retirees (Police Superintendent Oh Jae-hong, Officer Kim Chang-woon, Police Inspector Ahn Ki-beom) and one honorary retiree (Police Superintendent Kang Seong-wook). The event paid tribute to the retirees who dedicated their lives to the public by serving for over 30 years as maritime police officers, involved in marine accident rescue and security duties, and cheered for their new beginnings.
This first half-year age and honorary retirement ceremony was held in strict compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines. The event started with a reception in the chief's office, followed by a special promotion appointment ceremony in the auditorium, presentation of government awards (Order of Green Stripes, Order of Jade Stripes), delivery of service commemorative plaques, screening of memorable videos, and retirement speeches in sequence.
