[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Doosan Infracore announced on the 30th that it will support the establishment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), a core element of smart factories, for five partner companies this year.
MES is a system that integrates real-time data such as production plans, material flow, and quality information into a single platform to improve production efficiency. This year's support targets include a total of five partner companies: Task Co., Ltd., which supplies engine exhaust after-treatment devices, as well as Seonjin Precision, Woojin, Donglim Industry, and Cheongwoo ATS. Doosan Infracore will assist these partners in building MES by the end of the year.
Previously, Doosan Infracore has conducted the unique win-win growth program called 'Leading Supplier' annually since 2014, which spreads best practices and innovative techniques to enhance partner competitiveness. Based on its own partner development program, it supports partners' production operations, quality assurance, and manufacturing technologies. This MES establishment support is also part of the Leading Supplier activities.
Hwang Jeong-sang, CEO of Task Co., Ltd., said, "Despite the difficult market situation, the parent company's strong commitment to supporting partners is reassuring," adding, "With the establishment of MES, the foundation of a smart factory, we expect not only productivity improvement but also to achieve global-level quality competitiveness."
Through the Leading Supplier activities, Doosan Infracore has supported a total of 32 companies up to last year. Since 2019, it has been supporting MES establishment in connection with the government's smart factory construction support projects.
