Damyang-gun Promotes 'Senior Public Officials Records Donation Campaign' to Preserve and Remember County Administration History
Establishing a Record-Sharing Foundation with Future Generations
[Damyang - Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County in Jeonnam announced on the 28th that it will conduct the "Damyang County Senior Public Officials Records Donation Campaign" to remember and preserve the history of county administration and establish a continuous record-sharing foundation with future generations.
This records donation campaign, themed "Searching for Old Records in Drawers Containing Damyang's Administrative History," was planned to systematically manage administrative records produced or acquired by former public officials during their tenure at the records center.
The donation targets include all record materials that can recall Damyang's administrative history, such as work diaries, notebooks, salary statements, photos, videos, old employee IDs, appointment letters, etc., held by former public officials and their families.
Former public officials willing to donate should fill out a donation application form and submit it by visiting the town or township office reception desk or by mail by July 30.
Donated records will be selected, and those with high historical value will be preserved in the records center's storage and used as archive materials for future record information services.
A county official said, "We hope that the valuable records containing the activities of senior public officials who devoted themselves to the development of county administration will be donated to shed light on the county's history."
