Mando Receives 'Defect-Free Vehicle Delivery' Special Award from US GM...Only Korean Company
Mando Becomes an Excellent Partner Company Selected by GM
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Mando announced on the 28th that it received the Launch Excellence Special Award at the 2020 Supplier of the Year (SOY) awards held by General Motors (GM) in the United States on the 22nd (local time). Including this year, Mando has been selected as an excellent supplier and awarded seven times.
A total of 122 companies were selected as excellent suppliers for the 2020 SOY, of which only 26 companies received special awards. Notably, Mando is the only Korean company to receive an award in the Launch Excellence category.
This award is given to companies that overcame adverse conditions in parts supply, such as natural disasters, and closely cooperated with GM. Despite challenges like Hurricane Sally and the COVID-19 pandemic last year, the Silverado pickup truck model successfully launched with Mando’s electric parking brakes supplied without disruption.
