KODEX Active ETF Surpasses 100 Billion KRW in Net Assets
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] Samsung Asset Management's KODEX K-Mirae Car Active ETF and KODEX K-Renewable Energy Active ETF, which were listed last month, surpassed 100 billion KRW in net assets on the 22nd.
Including the previously listed KODEX K-Innovation Active ETF and KODEX Innovation Technology Theme Active ETF, the total amounts to 122.3 billion KRW.
The KODEX K-Mirae Car Active ETF recorded 66.68 billion KRW as of the 21st. The KODEX K-Mirae Car Active ETF invests in industries connected to new concepts of automobiles, such as smart mobility that integrates autonomous driving, electrification, and eco-friendly components. It invests in Kia, Hyundai Motor, SK Innovation, and others. Since inception, it has recorded a return of 5.96%. During the same period, the KOSPI index rose by 3.07%, significantly underperforming this ETF.
The KODEX K-Renewable Energy Active ETF invests in renewable energy and eco-friendly technologies and industries such as solar power, wind power, and secondary batteries. It invests in CS Wind, Samkang M&T, OCI, and others. Its net assets amount to 33.47 billion KRW, and it has shown a solid performance with a return of 3.02% since inception.

Im Taehyuk, head of the ETF management team at Samsung Asset Management, stated, "The future car and renewable energy industries are still in the early stages of growth, making it difficult to distinguish the quality of stocks," adding, "This product is suitable for investors who want to invest in these growth themes."
