Online Simultaneous Live Broadcast
The Second Half Year Celebrity Lecture Series Starts This August
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Jeonnam Gwangyang Jungma Library held the fourth lecture in its relay celebrity special lecture series on the 17th, featuring Professor Park Ji-seon, receiving great acclaim from attendees.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, the number of attendees at the lecture hall was limited to 30, and to minimize inconvenience to citizens, the lecture was simultaneously live-streamed online via Naver Band.
Professor Park Ji-seon, a leading expert in criminal psychology in South Korea's profiling field, has been deeply resonating with the public by analyzing and providing clear interpretations of the brutal crimes occurring in our society.
In the lecture titled "Criminal Psychology That Modern People Must Know," Professor Park drew on cases analyzing criminal psychology in depth using criminals' drawings and handwritten letters, sparking curiosity among the attendees.
The professor emphasized the importance of family education from an early age, explaining that most criminals who commit murder have accumulated experiences of abuse and neglect from parents or others during childhood, which eventually manifest as crimes and killings.
In particular, she stated, "Looking into the psychology of brutal criminals, it can be seen that it stems from feelings of inferiority," and added, "It is important to realize and acknowledge that inferiority ultimately comes from subjective interpretation."
During the Q&A session held for both in-person attendees and online participants via chat, various questions poured in, including how to study criminal psychology more deeply.
A citizen who attended the lecture said, "It was a time to deeply realize the importance of character education in childhood," and added, "I resolved to put more effort into family education so that my children can develop proper character."
