Seoul City Council Member Controversy Over Driving in Bus-Only Lane Using Kindergarten Vehicle

Channel A reported on the morning of the 16th that Kim Ki-deok, a Seoul city council member affiliated with the Democratic Party of Korea, was seen commuting to the Seoul Metropolitan Council by riding a kindergarten shuttle bus.
The vehicle was able to travel smoothly by using the bus-only lane. Council member Kim is the founder of the kindergarten that owns this vehicle.
According to the current Road Traffic Act, only "children's school buses operating for the purpose of transporting children" are allowed to use bus-only lanes.

Council member Kim denied that it was for commuting, stating, "As the founder of the kindergarten, I can ride it for matters related to the children." He is a three-term council member and serves as the vice chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council.
