Korean Senior Citizens Association Jinju Branch 'Resolute Opposition to LH Dissolution'
LH Dissolution Innovation Plan Runs Counter to Regional Balanced Development and the Establishment of Jinju Innovation City in Gyeongnam
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Jinju branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association announced a statement opposing the dissolution of LH at 11 a.m. on the 16th in the briefing room of Jinju City Hall.
In the statement, they argued that “innovation plans without discussion with local residents go against balanced regional development.”
They continued, “We know better than anyone the experience of Jinju’s economy being trapped in a slump following the relocation of Daedong Industrial Daegu in the 1980s. The government’s innovation plan, which includes the dissolution of LH, will put the regional economy at risk of collapse.”
