Gyeongnam Pharmaceutical "Oral Rehydration Solution Prescribed After COVID-19 Vaccination... Rising Interest in Ringer's Lactate Solution"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Gyeongnam Pharmaceutical announced on the 14th that interest is increasing in Ringer Light Solution, an oral rehydration solution introduced in December last year, following COVID-19 vaccine administration.
Ringer Light Solution, used in oral rehydration therapy, is an oral medication indicated for the supply and maintenance of fluids and electrolytes. It is a prescription drug containing glucose, sodium chloride, and potassium citrate hydrate. It obtained exclusive domestic approval last December.
A Gyeongnam Pharmaceutical official stated, "Ringer Light Solution is an oral type that can provide rapid fluid replenishment and electrolyte supply," adding, "We are making every effort to ensure there are no issues in production and sales, having recorded approximately 1 million units sold cumulatively in the first half of this year alone."

Meanwhile, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency recently mentioned 'oral rehydration solutions' as a prescription related to symptoms that may occur after vaccination in the 'COVID-19 Vaccination Project Guidelines.' They recommend taking acetaminophen-based antipyretics or oral rehydration solutions if fever or pain persists after vaccination.
