[Photo] Cha Hyun-il, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Discusses Menakgol Park Issues with Seoul Military Manpower Administration Chief
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the afternoon of the 10th, Chaehyunil, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, discussed current issues related to the construction of the Military Manpower Administration building and Menakgol Park with Lim Jaeha, Commissioner of the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration, at the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration conference room.
In June of last year, the district designated the park area around the Military Manpower Administration as a district unit planning zone in preparation for the expiration of the long-term non-execution of urban planning facilities in Menakgol Park. They devised a plan to manage and develop the area as an open space such as a park linked to public development plans including the construction of the Military Manpower Administration building.
Accordingly, during the public review process, opinions were submitted requesting the expansion of the park. On the 10th, Mayor Cha and the local Military Manpower Administration Commissioner agreed to maintain close communication to create a park that satisfies residents, the district, and the Military Manpower Administration.
