Yoo Seung-min "Today is Jeong-in's second birthday... Protecting children is the responsibility of adults"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Former People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Seung-min mourned the short life of Jeong-in, who died from child abuse at just 16 months old, on her birthday.
On that day, Yoo posted on social media (SNS), "Today is the second birthday of the late Jeong-in," adding, "If she were alive, if she had lived in an ordinary family, this would have been a time to smile brightly under the blessings of her family."
He said, "Jeong-in's 16 months was a very short life, and she left this world carrying only pain and suffering. It is said that citizens continue to visit her grave today so that she is not lonely," and added, "My heart breaks every time I hear about specific abuse cases, whether it is Jeong-in who turned two or the 10-year-old nephew who died from horrific abuse by his aunt and uncle."
